Our Minister
Terry Rikard
A native of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, Terry began speaking at youth nights while in high school, where he caught the preaching "bug". He attended Freed-Hardeman University where he met his lovely wife, Jodi. They married in 1988 and have one daughter, Lydia. After marrying, Terry left college and held a job as a restaurant manager but he still preached occasionally. Eventually, he left the restaurant industry, and in 1995, while he was preaching full time for the Rolling Fork Church of Christ in the Mississippi Delta, Terry went back to school. He graduated from Magnolia Bible College in 1999 with a BA in Bible.
Terry has an interest in foreign missions, especially those in Latin America. He speaks fluent Spanish Spanish and made his first trip to Latin America in 1985. From 2004 to 2008 he served as the Executive Director of Family Life Missions which operated Por Los Niños, a children's home in Catacamas, Honduras. After leaving Family Life Missions, Terry preached for several years before finding his home at Mebane Street, where he has been since 2011.
Terry enjoys flying radio controlled airplanes, gardening, and loves to explore new restaurants. He enjoys cooking and sharing his special dishes with friends and family.
